This next set of photos is from the road trip that
Sarah, Laura, and Erin took over fall break.
When we saw the herd of bison on the road ahead,
in the southern part of the North Dakota badlands,
we weren't sure whether to stop and turn around.
Fortunately, none of them saw the pink Taurus as a threat,
and we soon left them behind us.

Let it never be said that Sarah's not clever enough
to get run over by her own car while it's parked.
Actually, she was fixing something with a twist-tie.
We discovered that South Dakota's Badlands National Park
isn't crowded at all in October, and if you're ever there,
you should check out the Window Notch Trail. It's quite short,
but there's a lot of opportunity for climbing around.
The sign says, "Dangerous cliff. Keep left." After looking over
the edge, I wouldn't be surprised if people had died there.

But we didn't let a little mortal danger stand in our way.
There weren't even any signs telling us to stay on the trail.

Meanwhile, Joel, Renee, and Gennette were having a Disney experience.
They had to sneak back in under cover of darkness
after Renee got thrown out for tackling Prince Charming.

On Friday of dead week, we had a little party,
which turned out to be the last fling for 4103.
