ARTP 112. Intermediate Finger Painting (3 cr)
Prereq: ARTS 111 (Intro to Finger Painting) or equivalent score on the FPPE (Finger Painting Placement Exam). Introduces the mixing of blue and yellow to make green, as well as the use of sponges to create duplicate shapes.
ARTP 113. Advanced Finger Painting (3 cr)
Prereq: ARTS 111 and ARTS 112 or equivalent FPPE score. Expands upon previously acquired blue-yellow concept to apply to red-yellow and red-blue combinations. Students may be able to create their own "new colors."
BSKT 209. Underwater Basketweaving (5 cr)
Prereq: BSKT 106 (Basketweaving), BSKT 107 (Basketweaving with Wet Feet), BSKT 208 (Thigh-Deep Basketweaving). The long-awaited fourth part of the basketweaving sequence now required for many majors. Building on previous experience, this course teaches through the total immersion method.
CHEM 121. Exothermics Lab (3 cr)
Lab fees and deposits for this course may be significantly higher than those for other chemistry courses. Extensive, hands-on learning of the concepts associated with blowing up lots of stuff. Students must provide their own ammonium nitrate.
CHEM 447. Dog Synthesis (3 cr)
Using common lab supplies such as Kool-Aid containers, grass seeds, water from a tributary of Lake Superior, and live ants, students will synthesize a dog. They will then titrate it and eventually determine the percent yield. Finally, they will report on the costs and benefits of their method of dog synthesis, both environmentally and economically.

CSCE 154. Intro to Programming Languages (1 cr)

ENGL 487. Real-World Applications (3 cr)
Recommended for majors, particularly graduating seniors. Topics may include making change, industry shorthand for special orders, drive-thru, the art of burger-wrapping, and extensive practice in the language lab with variations on, "Would you like fries with that?" Cross-listed as PSYC 496.
